Best Organic Food Restaurants in U Street Corridor

I had a pleasant experience. I was with my family, and it was a good ambiance. I ordered the salmon, and the plating had a spicier sauce that I had to stop partaking in as it was too hot for me. Overall, the Restaurant threw in a cake to honor my MBA completion, and I thought that was such a sweet touch. Thank you to the staff.

It was a beautiful amber ambiance as we entered Mallard. Beautifully done decor, warm reception, terrific service. And what a great menu - not lengthy but just right and every dish we ordered was great. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. What a neighborhood gem - we will return and enthusiastically recommend it.

Hidden gem in the corner of U and 16th St. Must visit for delicious sushi and cocktails. Service was top notch and great vibes.

We had a lovely dinner, but upstairs was very loud. The combo of crowd voices and loud music made it hard to have a conversation. Drinks were great and fries very tasty. Really enjoyed the Brussell sprouts! Service was good and server very friendly, but felt like she was really in the weeds and therefore unable to pay as much attention to us as she would have liked. But others stepped in to help when she was unable to, so your team was working well together.

Opaline is a great choice if you want a lively after-work spot to meet. Tile floor and otherwise hard surfaces make the noise level pretty high. Bit of an own goal on my part for making a reservation to meet my sister and her husband for dinner here, as the restaurant wasn't really suited to a quiet evening of conversation. (It says "Bar" right there in the name, so I guess Reading is Fundamental.) We actually considered going somewhere else but glad we stayed because the food and service were both quite good. A fresh take on Caesar salad, a delicious just-right pappardelle perfect for a cold evening and a lovely dark chocolate cake for dessert.
