Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Regarding the restaurant as a process much like theater, Wrede envisions the experience of dining in his restaurant as an interactive play between the pub and the public, with his sights aimed at rivaling high art.

The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began. Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

    Martin Rios hit it "out of the park" last night. We two went for Restaurant Week and were completely impressed with his extensive menu with many selections of wonderfully complex entrees. Then, came the food. All of our expectations were satisfied as each course revealed itself. This was probably the best meal that we have ever had in Santa Fe.

    Food was absolutely scrumptious. Prepared perfectly, generous portions, and beautifully served to the eyes delight. Service is fabulous. Our server Jose was very attentive with a great personality and smile. We were seated in the back room area by choice and the area noise level was quite comfortable. It was our first time dining here and definitely a keeper on return visit list

    First time here during restaurant week and Dinner for Two did not disappoint. It was well staffed with polite and welcoming servers, the food well prepared and presented and ambiance lovely. We will definitely put this on our list next time we visit. Bananas Foster prepared table side is a fun treat and delicious!

    Wonderful experience at Joseph’s for Restaurant Week. Dined with friends, which led to sampling nearly half of the menu. Our appetizers included the sashimi and fried kale, and I enjoyed the tamal. Our mains consisted of the potato-wrapped cod, the duck breast, and my selection of the lamb banana curry (going with a standby despite being tempted by several options!) The service was very attentive and appreciated, and the ambience for a dinner of friends was perfect. I also recommend the Boulevardier. For dessert we again happened to make three different choices – but each of us also chose the paired digestif. My tres leches was incredibly light (a nice change of pace compared to preparation at many other places) but I really wish I’d gotten a second glass of Moscato. Another visit here, and another reinforcement that I should dine here more often.

    What a delightful restaurant ! We were sat in the coziest dining room with a gorgeous bottle of sparkling rose from Greece. We tried most everything on the menu and loved it all. Almonds and olives, radish salad, spreads, house-made focaccia and ricotta, duck confit, gnocchi and blue corn polenta with Parmesan! Yum! New Favorite place! Hel was great!
