Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. Another great experience at the Brasserie. We had a great meal, served by a great team -- Danny the host welcomed us, Jose made us drinks and Sondra served us. We shared the smoked salmon plate, medaliions of beef and a chocolate soufle. We can't wait to come back.

Great place, great location, great food & superb service! The only negative is that it’s a spec building so the acoustics are HORRIBLE! The super high open ceiling without any sound insulation makes it super loud. The one in Annapolis (Parole Town Center) doesn’t suffer from this poor acoustics problem. Delightful dinner experience - just needs sound work 😃

First time. Was a little concerned after reading other reviews and map didn’t get us to the front of the restaurant. But from there, all was stellar. Service, ambiance, food were over the top skilled, delightful and delicious. We canceled our reservation for my husband’s birthday so we could come here instead. We’re fussy, so this is a huge tribute.
