Best Lunch Restaurants in Old Town Alexandria

I have been to Majestic many times and thoroughly enjoy it. During our last visit, we have a tasting menu, which consisted of four small courses. This was absolutely delicious and allowed us to try smaller portions of dishes we'd not otherwise get a chance to sample. My favorite is the dates stuffed with goat cheese and the Zucchini Pesto with Fusilli. The restaurant also has a great assortment of cocktails, wine, beer and other spirits. The ambiance is pleasant and I love the restaurant's rich history. Service was a little slow, but I appreciate the fact that the restaurant is not in a hurry to turn tables.

Since the closure of la-bergerie in Old town in 2016 which operated for 40 years there has not been an upscale elegant French restaurant in old town Alexandria. La Refuge has wonderful food but it’s more casual and very small and cramped. Josephine checked all the boxes, elegant decor, great wine list and wonderful food. The subtle lighting and dark wood decor made it a wonderful place to celebrate the anniversary of our first date that led to a long marriage. We will be back.

Our Anniversary. Didn't have any exceedingly high expectations...but it was just about perfect. Food, Wine, Staff, Ambiance was wonderful. Actually, the food excellent. ....and the little "Anniversary confetti on the table was very touching. Thank You so, so much.

Food was great. We wanted a little salt added but there was none on the table. The pizza was really good too. We had a great meal and the service was excellent!! The cost was reasonable for 4 it cost $160.

We loved The Warehouse - great setting, professional waitstaff, excellent food. We will be back soon.
