Best Lunch Restaurants in Hawaii

Excellent food, service and great table too. Actually we have never had a bad meal at Hula Grill. The fish and preparation is delicious. Hula Pie is a must. Can be easily shared by 3-4 people.

The food was great but the service was lacking. There were so many servers and we waited for what felt like 10 min in a very empty dining room to have our order taken. Having run restaurants, this type of lack of server training is the first nail in the coffin. If you don’t extend great care to the customer, they will gladly return the favor with their lack of patronage.

Our server Eugene did an excellent job getting our orders exact. He was friendly and respectful. We will definitely recommend the eatery to our friends and associates. Thank you Eugene!

Our server was excellent and the food was amazing. Was there for lunch with a large party. We started off with a chicken caesar salad and shrimp avocado salad. The chicken was moist and shrimp were perfectly seasoned. Most of us got the petite filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly, med rare, and was so soft. I had the garlic mash as a side, it had slivered garlic mixed in (super good) and the creamed spinach. A few others had the pesto pasta which they said was really good. Over all experience was great I definitely recommend trying them out.

We had our annual gathering at Basalt and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect for a fun catch up among friends. The food was on point and delicious. The Broccoli Bisque and Miso Cod were the table favorites, however, everything was delicious and the desserts, oh my! sinfully tasty. The staff was attentive, and even being served by the manager on duty, who also checked on us here and there. Mahalo to Managers, Kaulana & Ron, Server Matt & his team, and of course, Chef Tim. 5+ stars! Highly recommend! We will be back for sure!
