Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door.     Nice location. Really good food and good service. Scored one down on ambiance as it was valentines evening and there was nothing to promote that (candles on tables, hearts etc) just like a normal evening.

    1st time we've eaten here, have come in for drinks on a couple of occasions. Really pleased, a nice menu, well cooked, ALL staff were lovely, but also do leave you alone to eat after checking you're ok. Nice atmosphere, nicely decorated, warm and cosy, the landlord lit the log burner as well which was welcome. We will definitely eat here again, and would like to come back on a summers evening when the pizza over is going. Really happy, thank you

    Came for lunch to celebrate a birthday. Attentive service and beautiful food. Recommendations were spot on, and we were (rightly) advised when we had ordered enough dishes, as we could easily order more if we needed to, which we didn’t! Although not cheap, we considered the meal good value, and will definitely return. Thank you!

    Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast. Fabulous friendly service in a lovely setting. We were a large family table of guests and felt extremely well looked after.
