Best Lunch Restaurants in Carlsbad

I appreciated the service from the hostess to the waitress to the server. It was a very great experience. The menu had a great variety of options and the drinks menu had a great selection. I ordered the N.Y. steak meal and it was prepared to perfection! My wife had the charcuterie board and she really enjoyed it! I was surprised with a candle on the chocolate mousse that we ordered because my birthday was recently and we enjoyed that treat! Thank you so much!

Today, I stopped by for the Hawaiian Brunch and had an incredible experience. It was the restaurant’s first time offering the Hawaiian brunch, and they did an amazing job. We ordered the Loco Moco, Hawaiian Sweet Bread French Toast, and Spam Musubi Benedict, all of which were absolutely delicious. To pair with our meal, we enjoyed the Tropical Cherry Bomb Mimosa, Blue Hawaiian, and Mai Tai—each drink was perfectly crafted and refreshing. Our booth offered a stunning ocean view, creating an unforgettable ambiance. Bridgette, our server, was exceptionally attentive and kind, and Danny, the busser, was equally helpful and courteous. This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit whenever I’m in town!

Totally nice from hostess to service to food. And wonderful sunset to boot.

Our party of nine dined for lunch in the middle room, next to the bar. Hardly any other diners were there so we had the room all to ourselves, which was wonderful. The wait staff was excellent—very accommodating and kind. Everyone was quite happy with their meals. Two of us had the hanger steak with a wedge salad. All of it tasted great. The steak was very tasty and cooked to perfection. A few had a hamburger. Again, delicious. Everyone liked the assortment ment of desserts we ordered. My only complain—$37 for salad and a very small steak is quite pricey.

David was our chef and he was fantastic, best we’ve ever had in over 50 times at a variety of Benihana restaurants. The Holiday menu bumped up the prices, which was disappointing since it was more than a week before Christmas. Three people came in at over $200, not what we expected since we were there for lunch.
