- MmariannWashington, D.C. Area •86 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI was very grateful the hostess was able to accommodate my request for a table by the window as this is a very lively and energetic place on a Saturday evening. More so with all the happenings in DC to include a hockey game. It is undoubtedly a challenge to orchestrate timing of reservations, seating, and staffing to ensure good service (for those wondering why there are open tables). Our server was a very pleasant and efficient young man, the other staff who delivered food and removed plates were likewise pleasant, and the food was delicious. It is a lively venue - especially once all the tables fill up and they did within a short time of us sitting down shortly after 430 pm!More infoThe Smith – Penn Quarter, Washington, D.CPrice: Expensive• American• Penn Quarter•4.5

The food was excellent and we got to sample a variety of food from the menu. Fried green tomato salad, deviled eggs, chicken wings, shrimp and grits, ribeye steak, chicken and waffles, cornbread, collard greens and garlic smashed potatoes for the two side. OMG so good. We took our dessert to go we were so full. Highly recommend Succotash.More infoSuccotash PRIMEPrice: Moderate• American• Penn Quarter•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinerWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe had a great experience at Joe’s last night. We had a 7:30 reservation, but the restaurant was backed up due to a busy night. We didn’t get seated till 8pm, which initially rubbed us the wrong way, but the Joe’s service team did an excellent job making up for it. The host who brought us to the table apologized and made a clear effort to get us seated as soon as possible, and our server was on top of it all night. The food was excellent as usual, everything fresh and made to perfection. The branzino was particularly delicious, not a single bone and cooked very well. The service finished strong by giving us dessert on the house, and the peanut butter and key lime pie were outstanding. Overall, great experience at Joe’s and a great example of how a restaurant can bounce back from an initial issue and still give us a great experience. Will definitely be going backMore infoJoe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.8

- JJillvipWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe had a wonderful dinner at Oyamel after visiting the Holiday Market at Gallery Place. The food continues to be delicious. Our favorites were the cheese enchiladas with mole sauce, the sweet potato and black bean tamale, the shrimp ceviche and the mushroom tacos. The portions were just right and the prices were reasonable. We changed our party size from 4 to 5 and back to 4 again. The staff was very accommodating as we had to make changes.
