- KKrisPhoenix / Arizona •69 reviews4.0Dined on 18 Dec 2024We were excited to try Hugo’s while visiting LA as the entire menu is gluten free. The special menu had pumpkin pancakes which were phenomenal. I enjoyed every bite. I was excited to see cornbread offered as part of another dish and asked if I could have a side of cornbread. The cornbread unfortunately was not served at room temperature and was dried out. I added some of my syrup to it which helped add moisture as the flavor was good. I was told the four cheese macaroni and cheese with the GF penne was very good as was the omelette. Dessert offerings of peach cobbler and pumpkin pie were also enjoyed, though a comment was made that the pumpkin pie was a little heavy on the cinnamon and other spices.More infoHugo's Studio CityPrice: Moderate• Californian• Studio City•4.7
- BBetteCalifornia Central Coast •1 review5.0Dined on 14 Dec 2024My three great friends and I met a Sugarbird to celebrate a Christmas tea, and it couldn’t have been nicer. The outdoor seating area feels like a little room with the umbrellas and the pretty tables. We were lucky to have cool but not cold weather, and were prepared to sit outside, so being in the sun added to the feeling of enjoying a backyard tea. The scones were outstanding, particularly the blueberry lemon, and the feta chive. All the sandwiches were beautifully prepared and the sweets were fantastic as well. Our servers took such good care of us and gave us plenty time and space to enjoy each other without rushing at all. This is a yearly tradition for us and we all agreed it was one the loveliest times we’ve had together. Keep it up, Sugarbird! P.S, they have scones to go, and you can also get frozen ones to take home and bake. Certainly did that!!More infoSugarbird CafePrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Montrose•4.7
