We have changed up the menu since re-opening this fall [2023] . We are catering more now to our wonderful neighborhood, and neighbors. So be prepared for a totally different menu than the old "579". All the way back in 1955, the four sons of an immigrant millworker decided to take a chance. They opened a restaurant on Cumberland’s bustling Mendon Road with nothing to their names other than a shared dream and vision - fresh and local ingredients, prompt and friendly service, all to be had at an unbeatable value. They developed a motto and never steered away from it – “If you are not proud of it, do not serve it!”. That restaurant was the original Chelo’s Hometown Bar & Grille, and that motto can be found hanging in each of our kitchens to this very day. While times change, our values don’t. As a third generation, family owned and operated company, our food is still made fresh in our commissary 7 days a week and delivered to each of our locations daily . Same ingredients, same recipes, same classic food that Rhode Islanders have come to know and love since our grandfathers first opened our doors nearly 70 years ago!

    Food was excellent, Service was great. Busy night (Valentines Day) and we didn't love the first table we were sat at, but the team got us moved quickly into the main area. Lively, Fun, Great Food and Drinks. Highly recommend and Thank You for the great night.

    Rasoi is always a delightful experience from first greeting to last goodbye. The staff are friendly, gracious, and efficient and always happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible. Today, I had lunch with 3 friends from 3 generations, 2 vegan, 2 not. We all found delicious options on the varied menu while sharing pots of Bhudda's Dream tea. I want to note in particular that I have fallen in love with the Saturday vegan thali. Unfortunately, I cannot eat coconut and am also diabetic so asked for substitutions for the items containing sugar and coconut. These were made, much to my delight!     This was recommended by a family member who stopped in after work to have a drink with a coworker. It happened to be restaurant week and they were participating. My wife and I went for dinner and the selection of food was very good. It was a four course meal with lots of food and very reasonably priced. I would definitely visit them again.
