We started with their Paint and Sip session from 12 to 2 PM, which was an absolute blast. The ambiance was creative and relaxing, and the staff ensured we had everything we needed to unleash our inner artists. It was such a fun and unique way to bond with my mom and Gabby—lots of laughs, a little paint flipping, and beautiful keepsakes to take home! After exploring the lively Universal CityWalk, we came back at 5 PM for dinner, and Five on the Hill absolutely wowed us. The chef’s gift, a stunning Oaxacan-inspired chile relleno with butternut squash purée, crème fraîche, and pomegranate arils, was a masterpiece—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My mom adored the Elf’s Pumpkin Pot Pie, a heartwarming dish with tender chicken and flaky puff pastry served in a petite pumpkin—it was pure comfort on a plate. And let’s not forget the lobster tacos—delicate, flavorful, and a perfect way to indulge! From the creative vibes at the Paint and Sip to the unforgettable culinary experience, Five on the Hill made our Universal City adventure truly remarkable. Can’t wait to return! 🌟

Creative brunch menu on weekends. Shared the exceptionally delicious bison sausage pizza to start. The various entrees selected by our party all received enthusiastic thumbs up. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Gladys provided excellent service. I came with three of my girlfriends and it was all our first time at Lavo. We loved the atmosphere, the food, the service and the DJ was a nice surprise. He was right next to the booth we were at and played some of our favorites. From the garlic bread, pizza, carbonara & penne allá vodka… and the couple of different cocktails we had… we were very happy with our whole dining experience. Gladys was even kind enough to take some photos for us even though we know she must have been so busy as it was packed and a Saturday night. Please thank & acknowledge her wonderful service. Its hard to find elevated dining which is also kid friendly. Kali goes out of their way on their website to let you know that kids are welcome. The atmosphere is casual while the food is fine dining at its best. Highly recommend.

My three great friends and I met a Sugarbird to celebrate a Christmas tea, and it couldn’t have been nicer. The outdoor seating area feels like a little room with the umbrellas and the pretty tables. We were lucky to have cool but not cold weather, and were prepared to sit outside, so being in the sun added to the feeling of enjoying a backyard tea. The scones were outstanding, particularly the blueberry lemon, and the feta chive. All the sandwiches were beautifully prepared and the sweets were fantastic as well. Our servers took such good care of us and gave us plenty time and space to enjoy each other without rushing at all. This is a yearly tradition for us and we all agreed it was one the loveliest times we’ve had together. Keep it up, Sugarbird! P.S, they have scones to go, and you can also get frozen ones to take home and bake. Certainly did that!!
