Pizza is a family affair for me. My Uncle arrived in America in the 1930s with a passion for pizza. He worked hard and eventually bought his own pizzeria in Brooklyn. It was there that Uncle invented a recipe for coal oven pizza. That recipe has been perfected over 60 years and passed down through the generations.Here in Philadelphia you can dine at 2 Pietro's locations: 1714 Walnut Street, and Radnor, Pa.     Food is amazing. The mussels in red are so good I even asked for them to spice it up. Pasta Fagoli delicious. Short rib parpadella fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive and service was terrific.

    My husband and I have come here for so long, and wanted to have one last brunch here before they shut their doors. We have to say the staff, between front and back, are just rockstars at what they do and provide. The food is always top notch, the cocktails perfect, and the service warm and welcoming. Truly a delight any time we can spend some time with our 2 dachshunds and enjoy the outside space here. We hope you and team have much successes going forward and we hope for the next iteration will be here soon. Happy New Year Hawthorne's!
