Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Westerly

As always, the Coast Guard House lived up to its excellent reputation for outstanding food, service, and friendliness. The menu options and wine choices are also excellent. Very highly recommended. It also happens to be a very historic building that was repurposed very appropriately into the excellent restaurant that it is and continues to be.

I picked Ella’s to celebrate my husbands birthday dinner celebration for two and was not disappointed in our first experience there one bit. The plates we were served were absolutely outstanding! Thank you to Chef and staff! Our server and every host there are top notch. We have found a very special place to bring friends and family and are so glad we came. Thanks to everyone!

This place never disappoints! I had the Hangover Helper, which was delicious. Tender brisket, folded egg and rice cake. Wonderful service a quiet enough for a conversation over lunch. I have already booked a reservation in the future.

We know the head chef was out which was disappointing, leaving a few specialities off the menu. My wife’s scallops were a little over-salted and a couple of them were slightly overcooked. Other than that everything was delicious. The oysters were delicious, the antipasto skewer was generous and tasty as was the house salad. For entrees they were incredibly generous portions, the risotto with the pork chop and pork chop itself were amazing. The value for this whole experience was incredible, and our server Tara did an amazing job even though she had the bar and sunroom all by herself. That being said she kept up with everyone, made great suggestions and was a great server! We will definitely be returning! (This was our first visit, for our 39th anniversary!). Thanks!
