Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Calgary / Southern Alberta

This was our first time visiting and will not be our last. Brad B was our server and was excellent! He seemed genuine and willing to help, he provided us recommendations for dinner and dessert and gave us tips how to best enjoy the lemon tart and described how their tiramisu and limoncello are different. He made the experience 10/10. We had ricotta toast, artichokes, spaghetti, ravioli, lemon tart and tiramisu.

Seated outside on December 20th, doesn't get better than that! Split a lovely bottle of cab sauv that ended up being at happy hr pricing, both the starters and mains selected were aesthcically beautiful and absolutely delicious. The wait staff were attentive and so kind. We lucked out with the most lovely ppl that ended up having their meals out on the patio as well and the whole evening turned into a communal sharing of dinner, it was such a wonderful evening and the view could not be beat. We will return!

We had a FANTASTIC dinner at Major Tom. Best service I have ever experienced!!! I have a dairy allergy and the waiter made notes on the menu to show what I could order as is or modified - and there were lots of options. All the staff (and especially our main waiter) were so friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive - while also giving us our space and not making us feel rushed. The view of the city is incredible! There are many delicious cocktail and mocktail options and appetizers. The food was INCREDIBLE! So so so delicious and very high quality. The filet minion was so tender and flavourful. Our waiter also brought us the most incredible vegan chocolate dessert at the end. If you want to spoil yourself or a loved one, go to Major Tom's - you won't be disappointed!

As always Rodney’s is fun, with excellent food. There aren’t many real seafood restaurants in town, even less good ones. Rodney’s is always good.

We really enjoyed our time at Pigeonhole Downtown. The staff were all so helpful and seemed happy to be there tbh. The food was all done nicely, while it’s not reinventing the eating experience, everything was very tasty. We were there for happy hour, which was an absolute deal! Will be back for sure and to try the mains.
