Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Always a winner! The food and service at Vin48 is reliably excellent. The staff is attentive. And the menu typically has some new items to try. During the shoulder season it is especially nice to support a local business. I appreciate that it is open!

Can't say enough about how great of a time we had at The Saloon! The food was fantastic, the margaritas are every bit as good as I heard they were and the service was excellent. Plus, it has such a cool vibe. The hostess, Mary, truly made our night with all of her tips for visiting the area. We will definitely be back!

I love Buffalo's, it feels like a very nice casual place to eat after a day skiing. Still, I think that it is overpriced for what it is. The food is great, but I would simply not order any of the options above $40 to eat at a casual restaurant in the mountains. Not even NYC is that expensive.
