Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff.     Was unexpectedly amazed by how good the food was! I came here on Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and the god was outstanding! The steak was cooked to perfection! The steak melted in your mouth good! Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the Mai Tai’s, Mai Tai’d!! I was wavy off them and ended it off with an amazing expresso martini that came topped with a surprise!

    Café Paradiso never disappoints! The freshness and quality and variety of food offerings is outstanding. Kudos to one of the best bartenders ever, Kim, thank you for some really wonderful drinks consistently! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The staff makes you feel like part of the family. It’s one of our favorite places.

    The waitress was really friendly. Service was awesome and the food was really, really great. We got the steak tartare for a starter and that was really good. Then my husband got the short rib ravioli and I got the salmon, both were excellent. Overall experience was awesome, would definitely recommend!

    Great date night, cozy little spot with great service, tasty drinks and excellent food. Shared a caprese salad, which was beautiful. I had chicken penne vodka and my partner had haddock over risotto. We sat in the bar area. Bartender was great. Good spot, check it out.
