- SSherryDerbyshire •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoReceived the most lovely welcome from a lady who commented on the humour used at my point of booking and was THEEEEE MOST ACCOMMODATING in finding us a table that matched my disabilities Food was simply delightful. Best roasted potatoes and creamed cabbage everrr. We enjoyed starters of mushrooms on sourdough (the chef changed the starter to accommodate my dislike of blue cheese) and my friend enjoyed the black pudding & bacon stack from the specials menu We both chose the mixed roast main course (chicken, beef & pork belly). We ordered extra cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets (yes greedy but necessary). Too full for desserts but good choice available. A couple of coffees and x2 pints of soft drink each. £40 ish each Just book. You’ll love it !!!More infoThe Travellers RestPrice: Moderate• Pub• Chorley•4.5
- SShahidManchester/Greater Manchester •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAlways great. Atmosphere and service amazing as always. Bar drinks lively. Starters amazing, masala prawns and crab croquettes. Main chicken nice, main halloumi salad rubbish, all leaves no halloumi burnt cauliflower. Prices so reasonable.More infoAlbert's StandishPrice: Expensive• British• Wigan•4.7
- SSteveLancashire •2 reviews4.0Dined on 9 Feb 2025Sat in the new extension part rather than original pub,our table was 12.30 so quiet when arrived but filled up as time went on. Staff polite and attentive, soup was tasty and hot, garlic bread with cheese nicely done and hot as well. Roast beef and turkey dinners very nice, which included large yorkshire pud and pig in blanket along with enough roast spuds and something a bit different a cheese and leak soft rosti?, only had one dessert the crumble( could have done with more custard for size of crumble dish but my friend who had it said it was ok as he couldn't finish it all, had coffee to finish off with which thought good value for size of cup ( only £2.50) All in all for a first visit very satisfied will be back again to try something different in the futureMore infoThe Bull & Dog InnPrice: Moderate• Pub• Liverpool•3.7
- SSylviaCheshire •1 review4.0Dined on 5 Jan 2025Our starters were very large overall but could have done with a bit more toast with the pate. Main course was exception more than enough to satisfy the biggest appetite. Only the children had desert but there were clean plates so that too was a hit. Service was a little slow with clearing away empty glasses and bottles but overall very lovely time was had by allMore infoThe Golden Ball of LongtonPrice: Moderate• Pub• Preston•4.2
