So you ask why Wanda Byob? Wanda Pollyana Boos/Lipot was my Mother and my inspiration to become a Chef. Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. I now want to share what I've learned with all of you in a place I can call my own.With the help of my wonderfully supportive wife, Gilda and my wonderful family behind me, I look forward to what's to come.     We had a wonderful dinner. It was a very busy night, so the cozy downstairs dining area had a higher than typical noise level, but the superb staff and management made sure we were very well taken care of. Verona is BYOB, so be prepared if that is part of your desired dining experience. We tried some menu favorites as well as a few of the specials - the fried tomato and provolone appetizer was amazing! We finished with the ricotta cheesecake - rich and decadent. Thank you for a nice evening, and we look forward to our next visit.

    Love this place. Great food and great service, consistently. Sax play on Tuesday (and I think Thursday) is a nice bonus. Amicis and Anthony’s Creative Cuisine are now my 2 go tos for either spur if the moment or special event. I’m hooked and oh yeah, my wife loves it as well.
