Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Waltham Abbey

This was the second time we had eaten at Namak and it was just as good as the first! We went midweek and the restaurant wasn't very busy with only a couple of other tables occupied so we felt bad because we thought we were probably holding everyone up from closing, however, the waiters were so pleasant and didn't try to rush us at all, they let us take our time. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is exceptional and we really think it offers good value for money. The service is very friendly and efficient, we will definitely be going again!

We dined here late afternoon/early evening . The dinning area is large and airy and will have a nice view when the building boards are moved once the works are completed in the area. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The food was delicious. It was all fresh, tasty and nicely presented. We particularly enjoyed the octopus. As it was early, there were not many other dinners. Our only slight complaint was that the staff were all very little too quick to clear our table, but that was because they were quiet I am sure. The prices are I think, reasonable.

Lovely venue, although in the middle of no where in my opinion. Service was good as we had early booking. Starters was delicious, the venison kebab, the quails egg I would have preferred it to be a bit runnier in the middle when you cut into it. The sauce was great and good amount just right for the amount. The mix grill was a disappointment due to the small portion size, there was not enough flavour to this dish. The prawn purée was nice, please serve in a flat plate as it will be easier to eat than the round bowl we had it served in. Ambience was nice. Mains were ok the meat dish was not spicy enough as per details on the menu, the dhansak was lovely, the peshwari naan was yummy. The duck dish would be better to be cooked to one’s tastebud, I would have preferred this a little less cooked. Dessert- we didn’t enjoy in the way it was described on the menu, however the cake for the birthday was nice along with the other complimentary little pot we had. A lovely evening full of lovely food

We had an enjoyable lunch at the 'spirits tasting ' event, the starter was particularly good. We were given a voucher as a gift and had not previously dined at Haywards. We enjoyed the fixed lunch menu and the presentation from Adam representing Essex Spirits. However, we would have preferred a wine tasting experience as we rarely drink spirits.
