Best Family Style Restaurants in Meatpacking District

The food was INCREDIBLE. The portions are family sizes; my spouse and I shared an entrée and appetizer, and it was a lot of food. But it was so good. The drinks were great as well. Front desk people were meh, but our waitress and everyone helping around were super nice. 100% recommend.

Great experience, food was excellent, service was good, noise level is a bit too much, had to yell to hear each other. But otherwise we loved the experience. Our fav dish- the tartare, followed by the truffle mushroom pasta, the waygu flight of three, and the hit me chocolate cake, in that order. Would go back again.

Let me tell you that TAO is the spot to go for all occasions. This is my fifth time going to TAO specifically for me and my husband’s anniversary and everything was done to perfection. The service was amazing and the food is always on point. Even when we ordered dessert it was the best thing to top off the night. Anyone that is looking to eat amazing food with an amazing view should definitely go to TAO. Trust me you won’t ever forget the experience ❤️

Hawksmoor can be a little frenetic and noisy at dinner — nothing wrong with that! And the bar area is always quieter. But for the main dining room, I prefer going for lunch. They have a $25 lunch special that includes their famous rump steak and a side, but I went for the $45 option. I got the beet salad in a yogurt dressing, which was delicious, and the rump steak with fries (chips) and side salad. The steak was nicely charred on the outside and pink in the middle — a tad salty, but still quite tasty. And of course I got the Hawksmoor Martini, with Ford's Gin, which was served ice cold with olives on the side. A hell of an accompaniment! The room is beautiful and the service was friendly and efficient. I'd recommend the company too, but I'm not sure my dining companion would want to go here with everyone who reads this.
