The nature of tapas of course requires sharing, making The Boathouse a very popular spot indeed for casual yet elegant dining, regardless of the occasion.     Delightful! The four of us were quietly celebrating a birthday. The attention given to us by the staff was perfect. Attentive and not intrusive. The food was just fabulous. I had the crab fish cakes to start and the beef roast dinner with a cheeky cauliflower cheese. Then finishing with a caramel Eaton mess and coffee. I can honestly say it was the best meal out we have had for ages. Thank you

    Loved the atmosphere even though it was very quiet felt very cosy With had the special of a choice of pasta dishes and glass of wine went for a soft drink as driving Choice of pasta dishes was very varied and when delivered was a big bowl full thoroughly enjoyed the evening would definitely do it again

    A wonderful country find in a tiny village. The restaurant is definitely one to savour local farm to table, foraging and local game delicacies and each course was delicious. Staff are friendly, informative and welcoming and on a cold snowy night provided hot water bottles for each table to ensure we were sufficiently warm.

    Birthday lunch. Nice birthday welcome too. We went for the Wednesday burger offer. Cheeseburgers and Stilton burger. Burgers were very tasty. Lovely Christmas vibes. Although the menu here has changed and is more limited to how I remember it.
