Inspired by the best pizza of New York City and Naples, Italy. In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. The 600 square foot space was an instant neighborhood hotspot, and Pizzeria Delfina became the ""darling of the San Francisco food scene"" opening a second location in 2008 to popular demand. In 2014, Annie and Craig expanded into the Peninsula with Pizzeria Delfina in Palo Alto. This energetic, farmers-to-table restaurant serves up Neapolitan-inspired pizza complemented by a daily-changing roster of seasonal antipasti, piatti (small entrees), beer, wine and more. We invite you to Dr. Funk where you, too, can escape.Dr. Funk's offers a relaxed vibe that transports you into a 19th Samoa tiki venue with signature cocktails that include our Mai Tai and the Dr. Funk. Our Signature dishes include our Dr. Funk Burger and Hawaiian Ribs.We are located near O'Flaherty's Irish Pub and the Old Spaghetti Factory in the heart of downtown San Jose.Trader Vic and Donn Beach invented the tiki motif at their California restaurants of the 1930s that would entice generations for nearly a century. Our eclectic décor, too, draws influence from both Trader Vic and Donn Beach. Both Trader Vic and Donn Beach sought not to create a fantasy world that was hinged on any single location; but rather one that encompassed the concept of escapism by incorporating and embracing elements from the Caribbean, to the South Pacific, China, Singapore and beyond! In doing so, they created a backdrop that was thrilling, fascinating and alluring—one we wish to pay homage to.

It was a busy night at the restaurant but they did a great job with exceptional food at a reasonable price amount of time. The food was delicious but it does get loud in there when it’s full.

We had a great evening and dinner out to bid farewell to our children who traveled home for the holidays. The Left Bank is a nostalgic place for us with many celebrations of milestones. We can always count on its consistency in delicious entrées, (we love the duck confit) wonderful cocktails and excellent desserts. Our server was very attentive, friendly yet professional.

There was a very loud band playing next to their outside dining area and it was a cold night, so we opted to sit inside at a table. The room was nearly empty and well insulated from the noise. My wife had the blackened salmon and I had the salmon carbonara, both excellent. I loved the white wine sauce on my dish. We shared a very large Caesar salad which was good, but was a bit skimpy on the dressing. They had an interesting cocktail menu and a nice wine list. We will be back.
