Best Date Night Restaurants in Riverhead

Great food, nice size portions and despite the restaurant being crowded, our waitress was very attentive. This is our favorite restaurant that we frequent numerous times throughout the year.

The Menu at Cast Iron Chop House is vast and truly had something to offer everyone. We did not even get past the 20 or so appetizer options. We chose 4 and made them our meal. Each portion was very generous. The flavor profile and preparation of each dish was so well crafted. Our server Raoul was exceptional, a constant presence but not closing or intrusive. I will return for sure as we didn't tackle soups, salads, the majority of appetizers or any entree.

Very cozy pub style restaurant friendly bar was actually super busy Sat at 3:00 only 1 bartender who worked diligently to service customers, dinner was very good tables are in the same room as the bar … overall very nice experience but a little pricey.., though quality food ! We would go back 🍻

The food was excellent - the meatball appetizer was delicious, the eggplant parmigiana was cooked to perfection, the side order of spaghetti was al dente and the sauces on each dish were light and beautifully prepared - fine quality ingredients - the chef knows what he/she is doing and I say all this being of Italian descent. The pistachio gelato was as good as the gelato in Italy and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful as well - our waitress was very accommodating, unobtrusive, very polite and sweet. The restaurant was quiet - late afternoon is a great time to go there for a quieter, more relaxed experience. I was celebrating my birthday with my husband and we couldn't have had a better time! We have been here before and will definitely be back.
