- EElizabethIndiana •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe ate at Harry & Izzy’s Downtown while we’re were visiting Indianapolis for a business conference. We made lunch reservations and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant is beautiful. It’s a very old building and has tall ceilings and lots of wood and windows. We chose a lunch special where you get their signature shrimp cocktail, two sliders (you choose between filet mignon, fried chicken or shrimp) you also got a choice of soup or salad and fries or chips. We got the filet mignon slider, Caesar salad and house chips. The shrimp cocktail was really good. The shrimp were large fresh and firm and the cocktail sauce which is made from fresh horseradish was surprisingly tasty. The filet mignon sliders were amazing. The steak was tender and filled with flavor. The house chips and salad were both fresh and perfect. Our server was prompt, friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my lunch so much that I wanted to immediately make another reservation so I could come back and repeat the entire experience. Definitely will go back before we leave.More infoHarry & Izzy's - DowntownPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Downtown Indy•4.7
- SSherriHawaii •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis was our first time visiting Salt. It was much more spacious inside than I thought it would be, yet still felt comfortable & warm due to having different seating areas vs one big open room. We really liked the lighting and the decor, there was music in the background that wasn’t too overwhelming yet still made it feel like a fun Friday night. The ambiance alone makes me excited to dine there again. My daughter and I shared four appetizers and liked each one. Our favorite was the poke … beautiful presentation, and the rice underneath was addictive. The only preference I would have next time is no Sriracha mayo drizzled on it, instead just a little of that caramel soy they put under the rice. The calamari was nice and crunchy … it had good flavor on its own, but the dipping sauce was also good. The spicy tuna roll was nice & fresh, lovely presentation. Our least favorite of the four were the dumplings. They were really good, but didn’t need to be served in the citrus chile sauce. Maybe just squeeze a bit of it over the dumplings versus filling the bottom of the dish with it? Every dish that went by us to other tables looked amazing. Next time I’m excited to try the oysters Rockefeller and lamb lollipops, plus the skillet bread.More infoSalt at GeistPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Fishers / Geist•4.7
- CChrisSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoIt had been over half a decade since we’d been to Traders Point, but after seeing their Valentine’s Day menu, we decided it was worth making a Valentine’s Day mini weekend of it. The Harpist music was subtle enough for background, but loud enough to enjoy. Once we realized she was playing pop music songs, we enjoyed guessing them. We ordered the Valentine’s Day Flight half because my wife wanted to see how they were garnished. She really like the bold orange elder flower mimosa and lemon lavender French 75. Will try and recreate at home, you can se me the garnishes in pictures. Orange peel opened up like a rose bud in the Negroni. I had their Honey Bunch (take on a manhattan), pecans work well with Bourbon and honey, who knew? Pecan crumble garnish made it festive and change the taste. And then a Feisty Cabernet Sauvignon to go with dinner. We added a cheese and meat charcuterie board to accompany the meal. Favorite was a goat cheese from California that had Moon in the name of the creamery, we are calling to see if we can be reminded of the creamery. Their own award winning cheese was very good as well. We happily finished everything in the board. We both really like my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp starter. I had meatballs that were a little undercooked in the middle for wife’s preference, but I was quite happy. We are on opposite ends of the cooking temperature spectrum. We were both really happy with our mains. Porkchop with spiced seeet potato swisschard for her and filet with added blue cheese whipped potato brussel sprouts for me. Don’t sleep on the Ice Cream Sundae. It’s a creamery. With house made toffee crumble. Best sundae ever. She liked her cherry chocalate cheesecake, but brought most of it home. And of course on the way out, bought 2 bottles of chocolate milk to take home to the kids. If you are from out of town, always bring a cooler to Traders Point.More infoThe Loft at Traders PointPrice: Expensive• Organic• NW Indy / Zionsville•4.7
- HHeleneVIPIndiana •26 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe enjoyed a great meal with excellent service. The oysters were so fresh and delicious; sea bass was outstanding, best in our region! And my husband enjoyed the steak. Each entry was complimented with tasty, chef inspired and prepared accompaniments such as squash and polenta. Absolutely delicious. We will be back.More infoNoah Grant's Grill House and Oyster BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• NW Indy / Zionsville•4.9
