The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Our menus change on a regular basis and we also offer a small selection of seasonal specials on a daily basis. We welcome children over the age of 7. Dogs are welcome in the "pub" area of the Cat, they are not permitted in the dining room

The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. It has wealth of character which includes a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings, recently renovated gardens and patios along with ample parking.An extension that now forms the main dining area was completed in 1996 and won the British Heritage Development Award for that year.The Seven Stars has a great atmosphere, we have strived to keep it a village pub where friends and locals meet up to wine, dine and and enjoy freshly cooked food, sourced from the local area.     After a gruelling 7.5 kn mud filled walk with my walking members we arrived back at The Hatch. As we entered we were met with a warmth of the interior of the pub resplendent in Xmas decorations. There were seven of us in our group and we all enjoyed our main course some had deserts as well. We were looked after admirable by the Hatch staff and the food was of a very high standard. We all felt now relaxed after our morning ordeal.

    We had the festive menu which included a whole chicken. It was delicious, plentiful and wonderful to have new dishes to try. Particularly loved the freekeh and the brownie was to die for. Definitely recommend.

    The waiter was very good and the decor is very nice. It was very quiet and didn’t serve alcohol drinks which wasn’t an issue for the whole group. The food is good but felt the pricing on the menu quite confusing. I think the price point is very high for Crawley. Worth a visit for a special occasion.
