- JJosephVIPSan Diego •25 reviews5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024This was an awesome, unique experience. The building itself is unassuming but once you're inside it's fun seeing how this home was transformed into a fine dining restaurant. The staff was extremely attentive, polite, and accommodating. The transformation of specific rooms to house couples, quads and large parties was unique and worked well. The food was incredibly well prepared and the flavor was incredible. I highly recommend it as a unique dining experience for an intimate birthday or special occasion celebration.More infoThe HobbitPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Orange•4.6

A converted bookstore, the menu often contains fun literary allusions and the simple fare is well crafted and cooked perfectly. They also make fun variations of moscow mules. The menu changes but there always seem to be mac and cheese, elevated vegan tacos, other tacos, steak and there is always something delicious. A fun and worthy destination that will not break the bank!More infoChapter One: the modern localPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Santa Ana•4.6
