Best Cosy Restaurants in Northwest Philly

This was my first time at The Love + it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The check-in hostesses were warm and welcoming, and every staff member, especially my server, John, was friendly + knowledgeable about everything great the restaurant has to offer. My meal, the Caesar Salad + Ravioli was outstanding, the flavor profiles in both dishes fresh + inventive ~ I devoured everything! The restaurant itself is beautiful, lending to the perfect dining experience I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to my next experience at The Love.

As always, Chef Rucker knows how to bring it! The food, service, ambience, music and vibe were all on point. The swordfish belly app, lobster toast, hash browns, crab claws, blue fun tuna, cabbage, scallops, swordfish Milanese, sea bass, ham and squid ink biscuits and chicken were unreal. This is our third visit, and the consistency and quality were outstanding. We’ve probably had every menu item and have been enjoying the changing drinks menu as well. The matcha cocktail is a favorite, can drink it like water! The new mezcal Negroni was delish!!! You have to get the desserts. I crave them constantly now. The granola cremeaux is in my dreams.

Barclay Prime Review My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Barclay Prime, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was elegant, with a lively atmosphere that leaned a bit noisy—not the restaurant’s fault, just the energy of the night. The food was absolutely wonderful, and you truly get what you pay for in terms of quality and presentation. I highly recommend dining here for a special occasion or a treat-yourself moment. Using OpenTable to make our reservations added convenience and ensured everything went smoothly. Barclay Prime definitely made the night memorable for us, and we can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed everything from the moment we waked in to the moment we left. Our anniversary was acknowledged by the hostess, our server and a manager. They also sent out a sweet little dessert. Timing was very fluid. I was very impressed with the acoustics- the restaurant was totally packed but you can not hear another individual conversation and can still make out the music. Hard to achieve without seeing visible panels or an abundance of heavy drapery and rugs which there is not. Food was perfect.

One of my favorite spots to celebrate at Christmas time. The ambience is always warm and welcoming. English food is never a go-to however you can't go wrong at Dandelion. The shepherds pie is absolute comfort food. Yummy and warm. A favorite all around.
