We went to this restaurant as it was fairly near our hotel and had great reviews - we were not disappointed! The restaurant was extremely busy ( it was a Friday night) so we were glad we had booked. The tables are quite close together, but not too close. The staff were very professional, competent, friendly and knowledgeable and we felt very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious- Bavarian but with a modern twist. We would definitely recommend Steinheil 16.

Visited here around 6 to 7 times. Food quality is overall consistent and good. The male waiters attitudes are worse and worse, like they don't care. The lady (more senior ranking I assume) is the one who cares. Will continue to visit but I hope the service can be improved.

Our lunch at Shimai was absolutely delicious. The chicken wings and special duck buns were amazing as was the miso edamame guacamole. Plus the atmosphere was cozy and quiet, perfect for a Sunday lunch in November. Our server was kind and attentive. We highly recommend this little gem in Munich!
