Best Cosy Restaurants in Mendenhall

Late lunch before heading to Longwood Gardens. Happy Hour 3-6 was a good option.

I can not say enough. It was a brunch for my dad’s 75th bday. I was running late because my son’s nurse called out. He is handicapped and has many medical needs. They allowed my family to be seated so they didn’t have to be wait in the cold (my father and aunt walk with canes as well). My son’s kidcart (wheelchair/stroller) had to be kept outside the tent and it started to rain and they came with bags and covered it for me. I didn’t ask them to do so. The food was excellent. The staff was very courteous. These things may not seem like big deals but when you have a child with special needs they are really huge things. Thank you so much!

First time dining here. Holiday decor was wonderful, as was our very knowledgeable and efficient waiter. Ordered appetizers and entrees, with his feedback on our choices. House wine was very good and a nice surprise, since we did not realize the restaurant was byob. Everything was delicious, fresh and served hot - even the soup! Dessert was also great. Only criticism is that the special entree - a fish selection - was overpriced. We will definitely be back. This was a wonder find in the lovely regentrified town of Kennett Square, PA.

We always have a great experience at The Crown. The food is amazing and since it’s Christmas, the wonderful decorations add to the holiday spirit. It was beginning to get crowded, but the noise level was still subdued. Eddie, our server was an absolute delight and was attentive and funny. The salmon on my wedge salad was perfect! We also had the fried calamari, which was delicious!

This was our first time at Letty’s Tavern. We had been to Longwood Gardens, in the pouring rain. We showed up to Letty’s early, the gal at the reception desk was so accommodating, got us a table. The server was excellent, I could not decide what wine I wanted; he graciously brought me two tastes, so I could decide. We had the cheese tray; it was delicious. My husband had the short rib; it melted in his mouth. I had the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and was just enough, sometimes places give you this ridiculously large piece that you can’t finish; the fries were double fried; excellent. We finished this meal by sharing a piece of tiramisu. Probably one of the best pieces of tiramisu I have tasted. A wonderful end to a very wet day! Will be making a trek back to Kennet Square just to go to Letty’s !
