Christopher Hirsheimer and Melissa Hamilton—the women behind Canal House Station—are cooks, writers, and artists. In 2007 they founded Canal House, which includes a publishing venture and a culinary, photography, and design studio. Their cookbook "Canal House Cooks Every Day" received a James Beard Award in 2012.     This restaurant is exceptional and fast becoming a favorite! The table spacing is very generous in both dining rooms, In fall and spring and summer we also enjoy dining on the front porch at dusk- lovely view and there are heaters built in to the porch roof extending the outdoor dining season!

    Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was beautifully prepared, beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The service was attentive, and the best we've experienced in this area. We sincerely appreciate the staff and management who gave up their holiday to be at the Pittstown Inn to make our holiday dinner such a pleasure!

    Outstanding and fun! 4 of us attended Friday Spaghetti night with "local's" along with joined tables, beautiful warm environment, perfect service and the home made pasta bolognese with a crisp salad, just right garlic bread and homemade Tiramisu ice cream was just what we needed on a cold December evening. Can't wait to return!
