Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Virginia

I LOVE Southern Kitchen and the new location has excellent parking. The food and service has always been very good and now it's very convenient. Always select catfish bites and a side salad is perfect. I never have room for dessert!

Always meets expectations at Tarrants Downtown. Staff is courteous, prompt and experienced. Food is amazing and consistent with a diverse menu of local favorites. Atmosphere is eclectic and they are able to accommodate intimate tables and parties of 8 or more. Highly recommend reservation for large parties. Staff is prompt to answer the phone and easily accommodated last minute changes to my reservation. Tarrants Downtown is in our top 3 of restaraunts when eating in the city limits of Richmond.

The Sunday Jazz Brunch is wonderful! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits and mixed berry mimosa. I imagine anything on the menu is delicious. Entertainment from talented musicians adds such a unique flair- really enjoyed the atmosphere. A perfect brunch spot!

I had a lovely time. Our server was amazing! The food was good! However, the portion size was small. There was also a $3 up charge to substitute the wild rice that came with the salmon to mashed potatoes. The portion of the mash potatoes was very small for it to be an up charge. Overall, the food, drinks, and experience was great!

It had been a while since we dined at Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in Short Pump, VA. I was able to quickly get a reservation on Open Table. We had an excellent server, Angela, who has been working there since 2003. We had an exceptional meal. We had the Italian meat balls appetizer, Caesar salad, Italian salad and both had chicken parmigiana. We have never had chicken so moist that we could cut it with a fork and the sauce was delicious!! We enjoyed a bottle of the Borrigiano, Super Tuscan. Highly recommend dining at this restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
