The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers 25 on tap. A great selection of whiskeys and wines, including some excellent wine from the Langtry Winery in California where Lillie herself owned and lived for a time.The food is traditional Pub Fare.     Our first time to Max. Excellent experience. Service was good. Hostess aria was very welcoming and nice. We had apps and dessert. We chose fondue for dessert. It came with marshmallow burner. It was fun and something different.

    Christmas lunch was wonderful. Four courses plus amuse bouche and petit fours good value at 195.00 considering the high standard. Oyster amuse bouche Chilled Maine Lobster citrus dressing Chestnut agnolotti Diver scallops with truffle Toffee pudding with eggnog ice cream Everything was delicious. Meal was well paced. Lovely dining room.

    Excellent restaurant all around. We were early so we sat at the bar for a round of cocktails while conversing with Pietro Marconi. Service and ambiance were amazing. The quality of the fresh homemade pasta speaks for itself. Whoever we return to New York it will be a definite repeat dining experience!

    Nice bar/restaurant for brunch. We were looking for a quiet place for brunch Christmas week and stumbled upon this establishment. The greeter/waiter, Cameron, was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the drinks were great too! Definitely recommend it and will be back soon!
