Best Casual Restaurants in Kensington

Loved it. The food was perfect. The Rockfish appetizer was my fave and the oysters. Service was excellent. Chef came out and spoke to several of the guests. Steak was perfectly cooked tender and juicy according to my husband. The sauce on my striped bass was phenomenal! Pricy but worth it!!

We haven’t been in a while and it was jump’in and still delicious! Was able to snag a last min rez or we wouldn’t have gotten in, so that was lucky. Don’t come here, it makes it harder for us 🤣

Very nice atmosphere and service. Food was good but not fabulous.

Excellent all around. Savory chanterelles with pasta dish went well with other starters. Drinks well described and delicious. Appreciate the flow of conversation enabled by the sound panels in the ceiling.

We come to Heroic Italian before seeing our play at Berkeley Rep and are always so glad we have chosen to eat here. The salads (this time we did the California Caprese salad - sooo good,, and enough for 2) are always hearty and original. The pinsas are a favorite -- we love the crispy crust and the fresh toppings. Serving is prompt and friendly. (and Berkely Rep patrons get a complimentary glass of Prosecco.). No wonder we keep returning!
