Best Casual Restaurants in Humboldt Park

Pizza Portofino went above and beyond for our family visiting Chicago from Ohio. We mistakenly did not consider the time change booking the reservation at home for 4:00pm arriving to Chicago looking for my reservation and it said 5:00pm. They did not even hesitate to help our party get seated within 10 minutes service amazing food with excellent service and we were out of there to get to our show in time. I can’t thank them enough for saving our amazing dinner at a restaurant. We visited several times now while we’re in Chicago. Will tell others about this amazing restaurant and be back when we visit again.

The chefs counter experience was incredible. I was mostly blown away by the food, every dish had so much depth to it and really amazing flavor. The service was great, drinks paired very well, and it was cool to learn the history to everything we ate. I would definitely recommend.

First time experience at Alla Vita. It was the perfect spot for lunch with my colleagues to toast the holidays. The atmosphere is festive, the food and service were incredible and the location was wonderful (easily accessible to the Loop via the CTA Pink Line). Can’t wait to go back with friends, soon.

Came back here because of a gift certificate I received because my last experience was mediocre. But they made up for it. Went for lunch, had a good table,and a wonderful server. The manager saw yo it that this was an excellent visit. Food was delicious and prices were not that high. I recommend going just be prepared for some noise.
