Best Casual Restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale

Christmas dinner with my adult children after flying in from out of town. Stunned by the level of service, food quality and overall superb hospitality on such a busy evening. True pros. Best octopus, calamari and bolognese we’ve had in such a long time. Wine service was perfection. Santiago, our server, the best. Highly recommend

Starting last, the desserts were some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Overall very good experience - large menu both food and alcohol. Cocktail was very good. The sushi was very fresh and flavorful. King crab legs were large and delicious. Loved our steaks and all perfect temperatures. Mushrooms, creamed corn and brussel sprouts were all great.

We went to Abe & Louie’s on Christmas but decided to order from the regular. Bob was our waiter and he took made wonderful suggestions for our meals. He was very helpful on the best way they should be prepared. The three of us loved our food and will definitely be going back. The service was great from the time we arrived and was especially excellent because of Bob. He was friendly and helpful. I would make sure to ask for Bob when we go back to Abe & Louie’s restaurant.

Everything was relaxed and enjoyable. The 4 of us ordered a lot of veggie side dishes as apps. The roasted carrots, and the heirloom tomato salad plus hummus and naan were all delicious. One of us ordered the turkey burger and loved it,. 2 ordered the beef burgers and enjoyed them. I ordered the caser salad, with light dressing and was only moderately impressed…but honestly, it’s basically the Romaine’s fault…it just wasn’t doing the trick when not slathered in dressing and croutons/ cheese. I kept it healthy and was underwhelmed as a result. The waiter was an amiable fellow, service was pretty fast, and drinks were enjoyed by all who ordered them. Dining outside in great evening weather is and was great. We will definitely go back….and this was not our first time there, either.
