Best Casual Restaurants in Fairfield, New Jersey

Rails is normally an outstanding experience, as we have dined there numerous times before. We were there for Thanksgiving night and expected the same stellar experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Our food was delivered very late, cold and the steak overcooked. However, I am still a huge fan, as the management did everything to make this right. Don’t know what the issue was, but we were treated as valued guests and the concern for our experience was real. We were well compensated for the less than excellent experience, so I will continue to give them the highest recommendation, as they really care about their customers and want to ensure a 5 star experience. This is a great hidden gem with food so good that’s comparable to some of the best Italian food in NYC!

From beginning to end the dining experience was excellent. We were greeted by Robert and led to a private table. Our servers were attentive and described all specials and menu's perfectly. Prices of specials were not mentioned. We didn't have a problem with that, but other diners may. Every selection we chose, and there were 4 adults, were a hit!! The flavor of each dish kept you coming back for more. From appetizers, salad, entree's and desserts we walked out full and happy. Will definitely return to this Gem!!
