- LLaraDublin •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoI can not believe this restaurant is only open a few months . When we went in it’s like it has been there decades . First and foremost the decor is absolutely amazing. The staff are Italian and Irish . The food is absolutely delectable cooked from scratch everything is made in house . Affordable and absolutely delicious and we got a little lemon jello from the lovely owner on the house . If I could give 100 stars I would . Highly highly recommend it’s worth the visit but book in advance as they were turning people away at the door .More infoLa Cosa NostraPrice: Moderate• Italian• The Liberties•4.5
- AAndrewDublin •7 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoReally great dining experience. Food was good, service was great. The chap who served our table was one of the owners. He was a great guy, giving us some background to the restaurant and his family. It all felt very authentic. And if you forget that this is a BYOB restaurant, there is a supermarket nearby! The value was great. In fact, I think they could have charged more for what we had.More infoFayrouz RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Lebanese• The Liberties•4.8
- GGarethOttawa •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe really enjoyed our visit. Our server, Ana, probably the best server we've ever had. Even though she was working the whole floor, we honestly felt like she was our own personal server. Very charming. Very knowledgeable about all the different brews and was even able to recommend exactly which ones to pair with certain types of food. She also took the time to discuss all the other options on tap that we didn't choose and even offered us a few samples to try. As a result we tried other beers therefore staying longer than we anticipated. I hope Guinness recognize the assest they have in Ana. As for the venue.... we liked it. However, I don't understand why they don't open it to the public to just walk in. It's such a hassle to try and book and then stick to that time. Also, the atmosphere reflected exactly that. The place was half empty for most of our stay which was a shame because I've been trying to visit for months (I live abroad but return home every few months) so it was kind of frustrating as it's been such an effort to book a table when home. I know Guinness don't need the money and that this side of the brewery is experimental but just commit to it and open it up to the public without having to book. It would be busier more often and as a result would have a better atmosphere. The Christmas Toastie sandwich was delicious. Well done to whoever came up with that recipe. Perfect. To conclude... Ana needs to be recognized for her very obvious passion she holds for Guinness. Don't waste that. You often hear about what incredible employers Guinness were back in the day and how jobs were multi generational. A job for life they would say. I don't hear that about modern day employees. We'll be back.... ThanksMore infoGuinness Open Gate BreweryPrice: Moderate• Brewery• The Liberties•4.5
