Best Casual Restaurants in Kimmeridge

We have visited a few times with the current owners and it never disappoints. The food is delicious and always made to feel welcome. Today we had the carvery and it was delicious. Excellent choice of vegetables, tasty meat options and nice to have a choice of 3 sizes of plates. Also had a burger in our party and that was very tasty. The pub was very busy but it didn’t have a negative effect as we were well looked after.

Without doubt our meal on 14th February was one of best we had had in a restaurant. The food was first rate. The Italian Kitchen has it's own bakery in Wareham and the shared starter of Camembert with lightly toasted Sourdough was amazing - as was the mains of Tuscan Chicken and the Trio of Pork. They offer a very good Chianti, too! Many thanks, well be back!

Great welcome when we arrived for our meal - so nice to be welcomed back. All staff very attentive and happy to help with recommendations. Excellently cooked food - piping hot food and serving dishes. All was delicious once again - can highly recommend so many of the dishes (too many to name). We spent a week in February on holiday in Swanage and enjoyed 2 evenings at this restaurant.

Our meal was very nice. The steaks were lovely, and beautifully tender. The staff were pleasant and helpful. My only adverse comment would be that it was not very warm in the pub. The fire was not lit in our side, and I was cold ( it was quite a cold day though).

We were offered the full lunch menu and made our choice from this. Luckily when our order was taken, I confirmed that it was the "2 for the price of 1" offer. The waitress then left, and returned minutes later to confirm the "2 for the price of 1" menu was a different smaller condensed menu. This was a bit disappointing as the meal one of us had chosen was on the main menu. Anyway we reordered and the meal we had was delicious. I would suggest putting both menus on the table when guests arrive so they realise the offer is a smaller menu.
