Best Casual Restaurants in Columbia Heights / Brightwood

My experience at D'Lena was truly exceptional! The only suggestion I have is to provide a heads-up when presenting the flambéed steak, as the flames were quite close to diners. It felt like a portable heater next to my neck. That said, everything else was absolutely amazing!!!

Fantastic experience. Came for anniversary and the team at Causa was energetic and very attentive to our needs. We had incredible food with a tremendous wine pairing. The dessert was to die for particularly. Chef Carlos came and talked to us for a while and gave us trials of things he's working on and it was overall incredible. will be back.

Wonderful service and food. Really love the ambiance and the quality. Only down side was the 5% charge added to the bill, notated as NOT a tip but a service charge due to increasing cost to run the business. As a business owner myself I would not charge a fee rather if you need more money just charge more for your items. We tip 20% minimum everywhere we go but to be charged an extra 5% on top of the bill seems strange. Some people will just leave when they see that. I guess I appreciate the honesty however considering the menus are printed daily at this restaurant they could just raise the prices and then no one would be aware or need to know about the extra "we're hurting and business is tough" charge. Again - I own businesses. I understand. It's been rough the past two years.

Great atmosphere and delicious food! Almost canceled our 9:30 pm reservation but so glad we didn’t. The place was packed but the service was efficient. We had both kinds of gnocchi, vegetable frites, Caesar salad and fusilli with three kinds of meat- it was all excellent!

Just super solid with nice people and large portions.
