Catch Restaurant, located at the Hilton Hotel Surfers Paradise, serves contemporary Australian cuisine with a dash of Asian inspiration in its charming and elegant eatery. For starters, the oysters Kilpatrick with chorizo, Worcestershire sauce and smoky tomato and the skewered fish cakes with chili jam and garlic chives are superb selections. Some of Catch Restaurant's specialty main dishes include the confit salmon with wasabi cream and teriyaki glaze served over brown rice, the vegetarian-friendly warm soba noodle salad with cashews, sprouts and tempura tofu in sweet soy dressing, the Moroccan-spiced lamb rump with a date, almond and orange salad served atop Israeli couscous and the chargrilled Scotch beef fillet slathered in garlic butter, all of which are prepared to perfection and pair perfectly with a glass of wine from the list. For a sweet end to your meal at Catch Restaurant, enjoy the lemon meringue pie ÒheavenÓ with berry compote.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast visit to Double Barrel at Benowa. We had an excellent waitress, who was attentive to our needs and our food certainly showed that she had carefully recorded special requests. The food was well presented and delicious. Serving sizes were good. Concerns: The cash register is now at the entry point. We had to wait considerable time-despite having a reservation, as a group at the register couldn't make up their mind about their order and no-one could progress until the order was sorted. The same issue happened on the way out when two ladies couldn't decide on the drinks they wanted. Once we were inside we had no menus. The staff member on the register still had a queue to manage. We sat there till we saw the menus outside on the pole. The system seemed to flow better when the register was indoors. Parking is always an issue. It is normally impossible to park in the area where one should park. Illegal pool parking is the only issue.
