Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. We hope you love our little diner as much as we and our team do. Patrick Kriss & Zane Pearl

Income here because for not much more money than most other places you get amazing attitude-less service and impeccable quality standards. That said, $30 for a plate of Eggs Benedict might include a more generous amount of potaotes and perhaps even include a small side salad of frisée with sauted lardon and melted Gruyère on baguette. Just sayin.

What an incredible experience 😊 Skylight exceeded my hopes, let alone my expectations. I love the casual, comfortable yet sophisticated environment, the perfect lighting, the extra high ceiling and cityscape through the tall windows, and the comfortable choice of seating. I also love the mix of comfy benches, comfy couches, and comfy chairs along with more traditional seating and a beautiful bar in the middle. However the best part was the food and service. The menu is exotic yet approachable, and the staff is wonderful. It's obvious that management is out to create a complete casual dining and lounging experience. This is not just a place we will go back to, it's a place we intend to become regulars at. I can't wait to enjoy a weekend evening with live music or a DJ.Thank you!

We arrived at Pearson Airport at 10:00 PM and had a 10:30 reservation for dinner. We felt extremely lucky to be able to find a restaurant willing to take a 10:30 reservation. We ordered our food and drinks quickly and our orders came quickly as well. We ate but did not feel rushed. I had the grilled octopus and truffle cassava frita. The octopus was pretty pricy at $33 but was very tasty and the sauce was phenomenal. The fried cassava was pretty dense and cut pretty thick. I would have preferred if the pieces were a bit smaller. They were a bit on the bland side but dipped in the sauce, they were quite tasty.
