Best Authentic Restaurants in University City/Golden Triangle

Yummmy. The food was delicious. Margarita was solid. We sat outside so it was lovely - there was music inside so it wasn’t too loud outside. A perfect sunset taco meal and thankfully it was pretty causal because I had my kids with me (their kids tacos were delicious).

Dukes has the best views and ambiance, and such a great price point! Service was friendly, professional and efficient. We had a great time celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday!

The food, service, and drinks were exceptional. At the end, the chef came and introduced himself and brought us an extra dessert which was a real treat. I could not be happier with the experience and meal. Will definitely be sharing with my friends and family. Hope to be back again in the future.

Marisi is a lovely restaurant.. The service is excellent the atmosphere is inviting and charming. The food is excellent and innovative. Very fresh ingredients, wonderful fresh pasta. Everything about the restaurant is first class.

We travel around the country and try to make the dining  experience part of our vacation. We had learned about red O the last time we went to San Diego and didn’t have time to experience the restaurant. So we made a point of it this year. I will say that it has to be one of the best restaurants we’ve ever had the pleasure of  dining. We come from a state that serves a lot of beef and I will say that the 18 ounce ribeye was better than anything I had from our home state. My spouse had the half a pound lobster and it was done to perfection. So I highly recommend anyone experiencing this restaurant if they have the opportunity. The weight staff was incredible. And we will definitely put in our plans for next time we’re in San Diego.
