Best Authentic Restaurants in Vinateros

My sister and I were visiting Madrid recently. I was looking for a restaurant at walking distance f rom the hotel and I chose Chambao by mistake (I thought it was closer to my hotel). We had to take a taxi because it was about 10 miles away. However, once there, I fell in love with the decor, their server, their staff and their excellent service. Then there was the delicious food and Antonio’s, our server, state of the art service. I would go to that restaurant again and again. Long live Chambao!

Food was outstanding, fresh garden ingredients, fish fresh, everything we ate we really enjoyed. The staff were all pleasant and that is not the case everywhere if you don’t speak Spanish.

The service was attentive and high end. The food was very good and they had a fairly varied menu. We arrived at 8:45 pm on a Saturday night and there was only one other table occupied. By the time we left at about 10:15, the restaurant was nearly full.

Grilled salmon with exquisitely grilled vegetables made for a terrific light and tasty meal. Staff was attentive w/o being intrusive. Would definitely dine there anytime. Highly recommended.
