Best Authentic Restaurants in Bacon Park Area / Sandfly

Always a pleasure having dinner at Elizabeth’s. The care and quality of the courses, the excellent staff and beautiful location makes it easily my favorite restaurant in Savannah. Just make sure to come hungry! The amazing 7 course tasting menu does not mess around. Can’t wait to return again and again and again.

Here’s a sample review you can use or adapt: We had an absolutely delightful experience at the Pirates House! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of unique and comfort. The service was outstanding—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly welcomed. The food was exceptional, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The fried green tomatoes as appetizer and the pecan fried chicken were absolute standouts. You can tell the chef puts great care and thought into the menu. Service and food was exceptional. We came for lunch and the service we received and the food we ate were both absolutely incredible. This was our best meal of our weekend trip and we are incredibly thankful to the staff.

If you judge this place by the appearance, you will miss out on a GREAT experience. We follow a Carnivore lifestyle with a little fruit mixed in. We like our steaks cooked Pittsburgh Style medium rare. We called the restaurant the day prior to enquire about their ability to fit our needs. I spoke with Chris, the owner who believed they could. The experience was GREAT. The steaks were perfect. The shrimp add-on was excellent too. Christian, our server gave great service. Chris came and personally checked on us. This place exceeded our expectations and we WILL be back.

We have dined here several times and always had a great experience. It’s one of the few places that allows a reservation for a large party without having to reserve a special room/menu etc. We had a table for 16 on this occasion. Service is excellent, we never have to wait for anything! The food is always good and drinks are great and well priced. Troy is perfect for a casual lunch, romantic dinner, or a small party/celebration!
