Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh.     My wife and I had the omakase. We were the only 2 enjoying it this evening and it was amazing. Our food fairy, Angela, was very knowledgeable of all the food and sake we were consuming. She provided a wonderful experience to go along with chief Allen’s beautifully prepared dishes. Chief Allen’s attention to detail and personal attention made the evening unforgettable. Some words to describe the omakase: Incredible Amazing Delicious Personal 10 out of 10. Would certainly go back again !

    Patrick was very attentive and super helpful with menu and drink selections. The sashimi platter and the chef selection of nigiri sushi were delicious and beautifully presented. The matcha tiramisu was a great end to our meal. Highly recommend

    We were celebrating my wifes birthday and had a great dining experience. Our server was engaging and added to the dining experience. All food orders were delicious and service was prompt. My wife enjoys celebrating her birthday at Bakersfield. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.
