   Ben was a perfect server. Our party delayed and unfortunately not all could make it but the service was perfect. A wonderful reunion of friendship was celebrated! I've lived away from KC for some time now and this was a treat to be served for such a long time homecoming. Extra virgin was a delight and so accommodating. Thank you yo all staff but special shout out to Ben and Jason!

   A wide selection of small plates, and they offer 1/2 price on many of them during happy hour. The place is usually hopping with activity, and our server was energetic. Food and drinks came out quickly.

   Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, gave us his honest opinion of regarding wine and food choices, and was super attentive to my issues with gluten sensitivity. Everything we had was full of flavor and truly amazing.

   Pros: Very attractive restaurant and the idea of tapas was what drew us to the location. Service was excellent and food was delivered quickly despite it being very busy. There are some fun menu items like grilled octopus and there is an extensive drink menu. It was easy to make a reservation and get seated quickly even on a busy Friday night. The lamb kabobs were what I’ve come to expect from a good quality tapas restaurant. Ground lamb on rich hummus and pomegranate seeds. Eaten together the flavors played off of one another and the mini-kabobs were easy to share. Could be improved: The food was, overall, just okay. While there were a few standout dishes (such as the lamb kabobs), but much of the food was unexciting. The chicken dish lacked flavor, the duck was dry, and the chickpea fries could easily be made with multiple sauces to choose from which would have improved them a great deal. When I’ve visited other tapas restaurant even the garnishes are part of the delicious flavors. Unfortunately here you left much of the extras on the plate (the overly blackened Brussels sprouts on the duck, and the flavorless bed of the grilled octopus). This menu could easily be improved although patrons who have not been to some of the excellent tapas restaurants out there may be satisfied. Cons: Seating and tables! Our table wobbled badly and the seats do not move in and out easily. They are thin and hard and not at all comfortable. They also rock which isn’t really a detriment but was a bit odd. Additionally with a fully seated restaurant it was difficult to leave without squeezing tightly past other patrons (and I am not a large person). Bottom line: Good place for a group to socialize and have great service (but be prepared for crowds and tight spaces), but don’t expect to be wowed by a lot of the food. I don’t think I’d go again. It was an enjoyable one time experience but thanks to a lot of the menu being only okay.

   Still my very favorite place to dine. Food is fabulous and creative. Servers are always paying attention and kind. Never disappointed.
