              The last time I went to a dukes was nearly 17 years ago on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I couldn’t believe that it was just as good if not better here on the mainland. Robyn, my waitress, was excellent. I had a perfect table overlooking the bay. Just what I imagined.

              We usually come here during the day for the view, but the food is always on point, so we tried it for an evening celebration. December in San Diego is not the typical winter weather, so we sat outside, and with all the heaters, the temperature was perfect. As always, the food did not disappoint, and our server was wonderful!!! It's of our favorite places on the water!

              I love Duke's ambience, the beautiful scenery. The open dining area…! We have been here a number of times in the past the service is good, and usually very timely. I was a little disappointed today as the food did not appear to be very fresh more-so warmed over! I.e. not fresh a little overcooked. However it was served nice and warm and the sauce on the pork was very tasty. Dukes has always been a special place for us because the food was good and of course the ambience the same. I hope there's not a decline in the quality of food which happens with so many restaurants that are popular especially in La Jolla. I encourage Duke to keep up the quality of the food because lawyer deserves it and your customers deserve it!

              What an incredible view. The food and the service were outstanding. Excellent ahi sashimi, fish and chips. Can’t wait to return.

              Went for brunch on 11/30. Was seated outside with the best view of the ocean. We had the coconut shrimp, fish n chips, ribs n chicken, korean street tacos & herb crusted fresh fish. We finished with an order of the banana macadamia nut pancakes. Everything we ordered was excellent and service was great! We would definitely come back again!!!
