   Food was mostly terrible and ridiculously over priced. Menu was pathetic. Lobster Mac and cheese $45 and the worst we’ve ever had by far. $35 house salad. Very small portion and not very fresh. Decent tasting. We are pretty sure it came from the buffet next door. $35 Onion soup was decent enough. Fresh bread was good and fresh. $14 Asparagus tasted like soap. We sent it back. $14 Creamed spinach was not creamy. But buttery with a splash of whole milk and edible. Glad we weren’t very hungry so we didn’t waste $66 on their cheapest steak. Nice place though. About 5-10% at capacity. Now we know why. Our waiter kept saying the “chefs”. If those are chefs then I’m Gordon Ramsey.

   The menu wasn’t the same as on the we site. The only good service we got was from the food runner. We were shoved into a back room as we asked not to sit in the walking path of everyone that came in. The server was not attentive but the food runner was. Food was delicious though.

   This is a beautiful restaurant, the food is always perfect although a little pricey, and we especially enjoy it during the holidays when the Mission Inn is magnificently decorated . Such a treasure! However, our stay at the Inn this year was slightly disappointing with regard to both Duanes and Las Companas. Our reservation for Duanes was at 7pm, and was delayed until 8PM , and possibly would have been even further delayed except that we parked ourselves in front of the hostess desk for 20 minutes. Service and food were both excellent, however, the menu was abbreviated from the normal menu and lacked many of the dishes that we have previously enjoyed "due to the holidays". We have been guests at the Inn 5 times during the past 10 years, nearly all during the holidays, and never encountered this problem before. As a result, we ordered a minimal dinner which dimmed our appreciation of the visit to the Inn. Las Companas has also been a favorite, however, their menu is also reduced and items on the menu not as posted. For instance, what Mexican restaurant does not have Chile Rellenos ? And, when the "table side Guacamole" came straight from the kitchen with a generic taste I objected to the $23 price tag for the substitution. Our server was only on the job 2 days so we did not penalize her for the very slow service and disappointing food but we will give this venue a miss next time we stay at the Inn. Both of these restaurants enjoy the magic of a Mission Inn location and reek of the charm and elegance of the hotel. Just a little sad.

   Terrible experience for Thanksgiving dinner. Service was absolutely terrible. Ordered a $40 shrimp cocktail and 5 very small shrimp came that you could buy at Costco. The table next to us ordered the same and complained. They were told the restaurant had to really pair things down at the holidays and that the shrimp would only be $14. Well, our bill came, and we were charged the full $40. No consistency. Filet was undercooked. Salmon was cheesecake factory level at best. Refills on soda were not given without asking and it took about 20 minutes to take our card for payment. Lobster mac and cheese was terrible. Had been sitting for a while and the lobster was not fresh and pretty gross. Oh and 20% gratuity was added to our ticket for party of four. We were never told this ahead of time. Website only mentions that gratuity will be included on party of six or more. Giant waste of money!! Over $500 down the drain.

   Steaks were not cooked at the right temperature. Service was poor and waited 45 minutes for our entree s. We will not be eating there again. We are vips at Morton’s. Better steaks better service better atmosphere.

   We had a reservation for 6 o’clock and we were not sit down until approximately 6:40. The service was horrible just plain horrible. The food was excellent, but we will not be coming back. We couldn’t get a refill, couldn’t get additions. No one stopped by we were there approximately 2 1/2 hours. I think they stopped by once and bill was over $300 which is fine but not for the service. Also they automatically gave themselves a 20% tip for a party of 2.

   My experience at Duane's was great, with great service and food to boot! While the noise level was something that wasn't very easy to ignore, at least there was great food and service that cancled out the noise. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing, and such a great place to celebrate my birthday. I highly recommend it to anyone who's got a special celebration going on.

    Food was amazing and service was very attentive. Was not able to find self parking or valet due to special christmas event so we had to park several blocks away. Plan ahead!
