This significant painting of Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders measures almost eight feet tall by six feet wide and is one of the largest paintings located at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.

                                                                          Food was very good. I got the lobster machine and cheese with a side of baby carrots. The carrots were very under cooked. I sent them back, which I have never done. My husband got the New York steak with a baked potato. It was an excellent steak.

My filet was marginal but my wife enjoyed her salmon. The food is extremely overpriced and there was no ambiance where we were placed. Last time for Duane's,

                                                                          We were hoping for a fine dining experience but our hopes quickly diminished. Many items lost on the website were no longer in stock due to a chef change. At the start the staff was attentive but once the food came out we were ignored. No one asked if we wanted another round of drinks or even refills on soda/icetea. Something as simple as a baked potato was undercooked (told the waiter but didn’t care), cold and chunks of rocks. Babies screaming. Kids Running around. Wait staff moving chairs bumping into my chair. No apologies. Dress code was not upheld. This was our first time here and it was a disappointment. For the prices we expected better service.

                                                                          Food was mostly terrible and ridiculously over priced. Menu was pathetic. Lobster Mac and cheese $45 and the worst we’ve ever had by far. $35 house salad. Very small portion and not very fresh. Decent tasting. We are pretty sure it came from the buffet next door. $35 Onion soup was decent enough. Fresh bread was good and fresh. $14 Asparagus tasted like soap. We sent it back. $14 Creamed spinach was not creamy. But buttery with a splash of whole milk and edible. Glad we weren’t very hungry so we didn’t waste $66 on their cheapest steak. Nice place though. About 5-10% at capacity. Now we know why. Our waiter kept saying the “chefs”. If those are chefs then I’m Gordon Ramsey.

                                                                          Honestly, I was so disappointed. We were seated in a back room at a Costco table, our legs rammed into the legs of it. The table wasn’t completely set. Very haphazard. Our server was very nice. It was Thanksgiving and you’d think there would be at least some type of traditional food offerings. The food was just… food. Nothing special at all with regard to presentation or quality. Vegetables were extremely overcooked. I had been looking forward to this treat for a long time but it wasn’t a treat at all. Just extremely overpriced mediocre food.

                                                                          The menu wasn’t the same as on the we site. The only good service we got was from the food runner. We were shoved into a back room as we asked not to sit in the walking path of everyone that came in. The server was not attentive but the food runner was. Food was delicious though.
