   Driven past for years but never have tried it, now I’ll be going back again and again. Really unique environment and surprisingly extensive menu. The food was superb as was the service. There is a reason this place has been there forever.

   TLDR; Did not disclose hidden fees ANYWHERE; got weird when we asked why we had extra charges on our bill. We have had Dizz’s on our list for awhile, looking forward to the stroganoff and a unique atmosphere that isn’t cookie cutter. We made reservations and arrived promptly only to wait…awhile to be noticed or welcomed by anyone. Which was a bit awkward because the restaurant itself is small and it felt like everyone was watching us but not helping. Once the host arrived, we were told to find a table that didn’t have a wine menu on it. Ok, that’s kind of your job, but I guess we’ll walk through a place we’ve never been only to land at the table by the bathroom and a view of the kitchen. Lovely. The Menu! They give you 10 plastic sleeves of paper, not bound, and all curled and sticky. It was the oddest thing. We were laughing at how to review the menu, hold it, share it - it is like someone said “what is the hardest way to do a menu” to a 5th grader. But the wine menu is bound and normal. Make it make sense! Our server was fine although she left during service to vape. No judgement but maybe go out back so we don’t have to see you doing that instead of getting us our food? We were enjoying the oddities and quirkiness of this place enough to let the errors go until the bill came. They are adding credit card fees to the bill - which I understand is something small businesses need to consider doing to survive. HOWEVER! It is CALIFORNIA LAW those hidden fees and services be CLEARLY STATED BY THE RESTAURANT. This place had 10+ pages of menu to do it and didn’t. When we simply asked our server to explain the charges, she got flustered and suddenly the manager was at our table trying to explain, poorly. Our server removed some items from our bill, but it was clear that was done out of fear, not acknowledgement of their shadiness. Because we were sitting right by the kitchen and heard the conversations. All of them. STATE YOUR HIDDEN FEES ON YOUR MENU!

   I love this place. Such a unique, delightful place for a delicious meal. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is superb!

   My favorite spot to eat, and drink, in Laguna. There are other great restaurants in the area, but the food, staff, and vibe here makes for a relaxing evening (on the patio or inside).

   After 33 years of marriage, my husband and I decided to celebrate in the cozy little restaurant when we first started dating and enjoyed so much. The service and food was outstanding. My rack of lamb was one of the best I’ve ever had. And I couldn’t finish it so large portions they start the meal with a nice chicken pate with toast points. We split a half bottle of Chardonnay and the entire meal, including Salad was tremendous value. The only complaint, and this is really unremarkable, but they played random 70s music instead of matching the ambience. It’s not that I didn’t like the music. It just didn’t seem to fit. It was more of a French eclectic feel. Anyway, go there on a day, you don’t feel like seeing the ocean, but really want to enjoy a delicious meal and friendly service.

   The food and service was excellent!!!! Dizz's never ever disappoints!!!! Drinks are fabulous also!!!! We have been coming here for years and love this place!!!

   Had dinner here last night and it was great as always. A unique and quirky place with an old school menu and super friendly staff. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the hen was really dry but the reason they still get 5 stars is that they made it right ASAP. If you're coming to visit, I strongly suggest getting an uber/lyft as parking is notoriously hard to get.

    Love Dizz. Parking always tight, but well worth it. Sat outside this visit and lots of space and comfortable this time of year with plenty of shady spots. Inside is also very nice. Had the lamb dish which was well worth the price. Friends had chicken masala and Cornish game hen. Both very tasty. Good selection of beer and wine and mixed drinks. Will be back.
